Felix and Lucia, the driving force behind OMA Chocolate, met in Margaret River. After a couple of loving months, they decided to join forces and started their own project.

Lucia, the mastermind behind OMA chocolate, discovered her love for chocolate 14 years ago while browsing her favourite bookstore in Montevideo, Uruguay. A book titled, “The Best of Chocolate” sparked her curiosity, igniting a lifelong journey of exploration in the world of cocoa. For several years, Lucia poured her passion into her own project, “Oh! Chocolaterie”. However, a thirst for deeper knowledge propelled her to travel the globe. Visiting cacao plantations and bean-to-bar factories firsthand enriched her understanding and honed her skills. This exposure has helped her to gain knowledge and skills in chocolate-making and to take pride in producing artisan quality chocolates.
As a chocolate maker, she is excited to share my knowledge and experience with you, so you can also explore and enjoy the world of chocolate.

Hailing from the heart of Hamburg, Germany, Felix wasn’t always surrounded by the aroma of cocoa. He initially honed his culinary skills through a traditional apprenticeship, working in various European countries. After a decade spent in Australia’s vibrant fine-dining scene, soaking up the sunshine and unique flavours of his adopted home, a new fascination emerged: the world of chocolate and coffee.
Today, Felix finds himself as co-owner of OMA chocolate shop in the charming town of Nannup, Western Australia. There, he blends his German heritage of precision and tradition with the innovative spirit of Australia, creating truly unique chocolate experiences. But Felix’s passion for food is ever evolving. His insatiable curiosity has led him to delve headfirst into studies of food technology, a journey that will not only refine his craft but also push the boundaries of flavour and creativity.

Felix & Lucia are excited to share their story – one delicious creation at a time.
